Mama Indigo
was given her name after spending months in public forums, guiding and
encouraging others who identified themselves as Indigo. Rather than pointing
people on a set path like many “spiritual guides,” she prefers to support
others in finding their own way much like a mother with her children. Her true
identity is a mystery, albeit one that can be solved should one pick up on
subtle hints left for the astute observer.
Born under
Sagittarius, Mama Indigo draws from her fire sign a direct and honest
(sometimes brutally so) approach and eschews tact and coddling; this applies to
both her criticism and encouragement. Many have, at first, found themselves
offended by her straightforward manner only to find an appreciation for her
once they get past the initial shock. As a self-taught digital graphic artist,
she continually advances her message and "The Indigo Child's Survival Guide" book's message through social media and draws in
those in need of guidance.
In her daily
life, Mama Indigo teaches martial arts to local children. Holding a black belt
in Kenpo Karate with influences from several other styles, she uses her
teaching method (just as straightforward in person as it is online) to help her
students develop not only the ability to defend themselves and others but also
the confidence to excel in school and in life. Her goal, along with continuing
to grow as a martial artist, is to see her students and those she guides to
exceed her own abilities and go on to teach younger generations. (Bio written by The Poet Knight)
“I have been studying, experiencing and gaining an understanding of the world my whole life. I think outside the box. I love to learn and try new things. And I analyze everything. My mind never stops; always taking in information and putting the pieces of the puzzle together to make sense of it all. I have studied (and continue to understand) history, sciences, philosophy, quantum physics, metaphysics and organized religions. I am also an ordained minister.
I love adventure and I take on life while laughing in the face of fear. (Ok, so I haven't been sky diving or climbed the bald face of a mountain but I have been cliff diving and bungee jumping). So in this blog, I will be sharing with you my wide range of knowledge and experiences about the one common thing we all share… LIFE.
I am here to be a positive change in the world and I encourage each and every one of you to do the same.”
Live fiercely. Love passionately.
Hey mama, hope you are well. Get back to me. I still have the tree drawing and the dream catcher you made me. In the desert now. Was in bishop, and pomona....many blessings. R-420
ReplyDeleteHow are you? Still kicking through life?
DeleteI had comments to make but for an Indigo you are so inaccessible . . . but anyway, you are on the right track. Don`t continue unless you know and believe you are Indigo Mama - because some of what you have said has proved that you are in fact - precisely that.
ReplyDeleteSo kind of you. Thank you for the compliment. I can be found on social sites. Primarily facebook (I use my real name as well as my nickname on fb), but I am also on twitter, pinterest, google+, and youtube.
DeleteAnd I am continuing. Thank you for the encouragement. =))
Hi mama indigo
ReplyDeleteMy name is alan I'm 22 years old. I'm from Guatemala and I'm indigo. I want your advices 'cause I feel very different from everyone here on earth. My parents... my friends... what can I do?
The most important thing to do is to be yourself. Your family and friends might not understand, but to pretend to be someone you're not isn't worth the internal struggle. Be YOU and others will either follow your example and be themselves, or they will drift away from you. The real you will attract those that reflect your personality and thoughts.
DeleteHi there! I just bought your book: The Indigo Child's Survival Guide...I'm thinking of starting a school for indigo, crystal, rainbow children, would you be interested in the project? Please give some advice. With Gratitude, Ana
ReplyDeleteInteresting idea. Are you thinking of an afterschool program? What would be your cirriculum? And where would you do this?
DeleteSo how did Mama indigo (an east coast girl) meet Baker (a West Coast person)?
